Ehlers Hat Trick Lifts Hurricanes Over Canucks

Nikolaj Ehlers completed a hat trick with an empty-net goal as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vancouver Canucks 6-4, extending Vancouver's losing streak to seven games.

The Hurricanes (39-16-6) received additional contributions from Sean Walker, Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho, who each scored a goal and added an assist. Brandon Bussi stopped 18 of 22 shots in the victory.

The Canucks (18-36-7), who played without Evander Kane due to illness, received goals from Filip Hronek, Brock Boeser, Nils Hoglander and Marco Rossi. Vancouver has now lost seven straight games and has only two wins in their last 23 outings.
