Local Teams Pursue District 11 Basketball Championships

Three local teams vie for District 11 basketball championships this weekend, while two others battle for PIAA State Playoff berths.

Bethlehem Christian faces Weatherly in the Class A championship on Saturday after the Panthers won 12 straight games. Williams Valley and Marian Catholic will clash in the Class 2A championship after splitting their regular-season series. In Class 4A, Allentown Central Catholic takes on Blue Mountain.

Pine Grove plays Notre Dame Green Pond in the Class 3A consolation game on Friday with the winner earning a PIAA State Playoffs spot. The Cardinals are coming off a narrow semifinal loss while the Crusaders saw their 13-game winning streak snapped.
