Skavlan Criticised for 'Idiotic' Question to Swedish Skier

During a Skavlan interview, Swedish cross‑country skier Ebba Andersson slammed a question about the Olympic five‑mile race as 'idiotic', prompting host Fredrik Skavlan to apologise.

Andersson, who won one gold and three silver medals at the Games, said she would have preferred Frida Karlsson – who took two golds and a silver – as a competitor. Skavlan explained the question had come from a pre‑race press briefing and said he regretted the wording.
