Barcelona star limps off with injury vs Atlético Madrid

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Tuesday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments in the club’s showdown with Atlético Madrid.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a Copa del Rey semi-final 2nd leg clash with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

As things stand on the evening, the Blaugrana lead by two goals to nil, owing to goals on the part of Marc Bernal, and Raphinha.

Owing to their 4-0 drubbing in the tie’s first leg, though, Hansi Flick and co. still trail by two goals overall.

And as alluded to above, the current scoreline at the Spotify Camp Nou is far from the only concern for the hosts.

In addition, Barcelona saw a key member of the club’s backline forced into a premature departure from the action.

Inside the opening 10 minutes in Catalunya’s capital, Jules Koundé pulled up suddenly, with what appeared to be a muscular issue.

The Frenchman subsequently limped off, ahead of a potential incoming spell on the treatment table.
