Another business-as-usual season for Rick Pitino and the Johnnies.
Zuby Ejifor is everyone’s Big East Player of the Year. This is a team playing for seeding in March as everyone expected.
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
Like is commonplace around here, Georgetown has the chance to put an end to another long losing streak against an opponent (10-game skid vs St. John’s).
A win would also go a long way towards Georgetown avoiding its third last place Big East finish in the last five seasons (2022, 2023).
Georgetown could also end a 25-game losing streak against Top 25 opponents dating back to 2021.
The first 13 losses in the streak came under former coach Patrick Ewing while Ed Cooley is now 0-12 vs. ranked teams since coming over from Providence, ahead of the 2023-24 season.
