Girls flag football kicking off in North Louisiana

SHREVEPORT, LA (KTAL/KMSS) – The Louisiana High School Athletic Association brings girls high school flag football to North Louisiana.

Beginning this spring and continuing into the spring of 2027, the LHSAA is expanding girls flag football beyond Greater New Orleans.

Six schools have agreed to participate in the two pilot seasons; Green Oaks, BTW, Woodlawn, Homer, Union Parish, and Jonesboro-Hodge.

The teams will suit up for the first time when they compete in the inaugural jamboree at First Bossier’s Freedom Fields, Wednesday, March 4. The jamboree is set to kick off at 5 p.m. with all six teams being represented.

There will be three separate games for each school. Each game begins at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:20p.m., respectively.
