The Blues travel to the Emirates looking for a first win against the Gunners since 2021, as the two sides prepare to meet for the fourth time this season.

The league game at Stamford Bridge finished in a draw, whilst Arsenal won both legs of the Carabao Cup semi final.

Liam Rosenior on Arsenal threat

The Blues have an opportunity to close the gap on Aston Villa after they lost 2-0 to Wolves on Friday night, but face a tough task.

Rosenior has confirmed Reece James is fit and available, but both Marc Cucurella and Estevao will miss out through injury, whilst Wesley Fofana is suspended.

It’ll be interesting to see how Rosenior approaches the game, given he received criticism for his set-up in the Carabao Cup.

John Terry believes Chelsea getting the fist goal is very important, and Rosenior has spoken on the threats posed by Arsenal.

“They are an incredibly well-coached team in every aspect of the game,” he told his pre-match press conference.

“Whether they compress really high, they have compact shape in the low blocks, they are fantastic defensively, obviously set-plays, they are well-coached and they play very good football as well.

“They are a very good team and that is why they are in the situation they are in at the moment. It is my job and the players’ job to try to find that weakness and try to enjoy what is going to be a really, really big game on Sunday.”

Chelsea face PSG in the Champions League

The Blues face a tough March schedule with league games against Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Everton, not to mention an FA Cup tie against Wrexham.

However, they now also have two games against PSG to contend with in what will be a repeat of the Club World Cup final.
