In a recent report, Media Foot stated that Leeds United are eyeing a move for Rennes midfielder Djaoui Cisse. It has been mentioned that the Whites will have to compete with Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer 04 Leverkusen in pursuit of the French talent next summer.
Cisse’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1
Cisse is having a solid campaign at the French club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances for Rennes this season across all competitions.
The French sensation is currently among the best young box-to-box midfielders in Ligue 1. Thus, it is no wonder that Leeds United are showing interest in recruiting Cisse next summer.
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Whites to land him on the cheap this off-season.

Is Cisse A Good Choice For Leeds United?
Cisse is a tough-tackling midfielder who can make the odd interception for his team at the centre of the park. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The French sensation has got the vision to create the odd chance for his teammates going forward and is an energetic runner with the ball. Cisse is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate in the number ten position if required. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Whites can get a deal over the line for him next summer.
We can expect Cisse to add more quality and depth to Leeds United boss Daniel Farke’s midfield department. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the West Yorkshire club in the coming years.
At 22, Cisse has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, he would be a great choice for the Whites to consider in the long run.
