The New England Patriots' breakout 2025 campaign came to a crushing end, as their magical run to Super Bowl LX ended with a crushing 29-13 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. This was a particularly ugly game for the team's offense, with star quarterback Drake Maye appearing to struggle with a murky shoulder injury throughout this game.
While Maye enjoyed an MVP-caliber campaign with the Patriots in just his second year in the league, there's no doubt that coming up short in the biggest game of the season is going to sting for a while. In a new post on Instagram from his wife, Ann Michael Maye, it appears that the recently married couple has taken a trip to Hawaii to decompress in the wake of the 2025 campaign.
Maye will look to get himself fully healthy after he was clearly hampered by his aforementioned shoulder injury in the team's loss to the Seahawks. It's clear, though, that the sky is the limit for this team, as Maye is one of the brightest young stars in the league after he led the Pats all the way to the Super Bowl just one year after the team won only four games.
With a breakout year in the books, New England's goal needs to be to find a way to build off its success by making some big moves over the offseason. Getting Maye some more help across the board is going to be crucial, but with the Patriots already having found their quarterback of the future, that gives them a very solid foundation from which they can build off over the next few months.
