Brady Slams Herbert's 'Meatball Sub' Throw

Tom Brady didn't hold back after Justin Herbert's costly fourth-quarter interception, calling the Chargers quarterback's decision a 'meatball sub' throw.

Brady criticized Herbert for forcing a deep pass on third-and-5 from Buffalo's 23-yard line, which Bills defender C.J. Gardner-Johnson intercepted at the 1-yard line. 'There's a safety in the middle of the field,' Brady said. 'Poor awareness, poor decision, throws him a meatball sub.' h-doctor.club

The seven-time Super Bowl champion also questioned the Chargers' red zone strategy earlier in the game, when they had second and goal on the one. Herbert finished 20-of-34 for 226 yards with a touchdown and an interception as the Bills improved to 3-0 and the Chargers fell to 0-3.
