Nairobi and Munich to Host Next World Athletics Championships

World Athletics announced on Tuesday that Nairobi and Munich will host the 2029 and 2031 World Athletics Championships. This historic decision marks the first time Africa will host the World Championships since their inception in 1983, breaking a geographical barrier.

Sebastian Coe, speaking from Budapest, acknowledged the difficult decision, noting: "We are very fortunate to have four spectacular bids for 2029 and 2031, and the decision was not easy for the Council." The other competing cities were London and Rome. sos-zagle.org.pl
