Lando Norris claims Miami Grand Prix sprint pole

Reigning F1 champion Lando Norris secured pole position for Saturday's sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix, narrowly beating Kimi Antonelli and teammate Oscar Piastri.

Charles Leclerc finished fourth, ahead of Max Verstappen, as drivers tested new FIA regulations for the first time in five weeks. Norris described the result as a reward for the team's new upgrades.

Separately, Max Verstappen has "nothing new" to say regarding his future, reiterating his earlier comments about potentially walking away from the sport. The four-time world champion stated he has been focused on other commitments rather than his F1 plans. sport-ipl.my
