LSU Adds Assistant Coach From Miami

LSU women's basketball has hired Fitzroy Anthony as an assistant coach, bringing him from Miami after 11 seasons with the ACC program. Anthony takes over a staff that lost Gary Redus and Daphne Mitchell to Rutgers, where they joined the coaching staff.

During his time at Miami, Anthony worked with 10 All-ACC players and two future WNBA Draft picks. He assumed the recruiting coordinator role in 2021-22 and signed two top-20 players in his first class. Anthony has strong ties to the South Florida area from previous coaching positions.
