Strømsgodset wins season opener in 1. divisjon

New signing Sebastian Pingel was the match-winner for Strømsgodset, scoring the decisive goal against Stabæk in their 1. divisjon opener. The goal came after Pingel made a crucial tackle near the box to steal the ball past goalkeeper Marius Ulla.

Strømsgodset, relegated from Eliteserien last season, secured a 2-1 victory with goals from Jacob Hanstad and Lars-Christopher Vilsvik. The win came under new head coach Magne Hoseth, who took over from Dag-Eilev Fagermo.
