Jaiswal-Sooryavanshi Make IPL History as Fastest Indian 500-Run Pair

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi created IPL history as the fastest Indian opening pair to reach 500 partnership runs, achieving the milestone in just two deliveries against Gujarat Titans.

The Rajasthan Royals duo broke the previous record held by Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, who reached the milestone in 309 balls. Before the match, Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi were just three runs short at 497 off 246 balls, and they needed only two more deliveries to cross the 500-run mark, showcasing their aggressive batting approach this season.

Earlier, Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag chose to bat first after winning the toss, while Gujarat Titans were missing regular skipper Shubman Gill due to a muscle spasm, with Rashid Khan stepping in as captain.
