Bompastor furious as Chelsea exit WCL to Arsenal

Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-2 on aggregate to reach the Women's Champions League semi-finals, with boss Sonia Bompastor furious at officiating decisions.

Arsenal progressed to the semi-finals following a 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge, ending Chelsea's bid to defend their title. Sonia Bompastor was sent off in stoppage time after reacting to a challenge by Katie McCabe, while the Blues also lamented a VAR decision in the first leg.

"If the VAR again is not able to check that situation, I don't know why we have VAR," said Bompastor. Arsenal captain Kim Little aims to defend the crown, while Chelsea defender Lucy Bronze admitted the first leg proved decisive.
