Bayern Munich Rules Out Phil Foden Transfer

Bayern Munich have officially ruled out a move for Manchester City’s Phil Foden, saying the club’s budget and existing attacking options make the transfer unlikely.

Rumours of Bayern Munich pursuing Manchester City winger Phil Foden, sparked by former teammate Vincent Kompany’s interest, have been dismissed by Sport Bild. The German giants say the 23‑year‑old’s €80 million value exceeds the budget for an attacking player and that the squad already has depth on the left wing and in midfield.

With Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl prioritising balance over headline signings, the club is content with players like Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Lennart Karl. Meanwhile, City are focused on extending Foden’s contract, which runs until 2027.
