Tottenham sporting director Johan Lange has revealed why the club chose Igor Tudor as their new head coach until the end of the season. Lange explained that the club opted for a shorter hiring process than usual for mid-season changes, with Tudor impressing "very, very much" during interviews.
"He comes in with very big experience at the highest level in football," Lange said, highlighting Tudor's background at Juventus and his role in Croatia's successful national team in the late 90s. The sporting director emphasized Tudor's proven ability to make immediate performance improvements when joining clubs during February or March, which was a "very big reason" for his appointment.
