Carrick Stun Leaders Larne, Coleraine Close Gap

League leaders Larne suffered a 3-2 defeat to Carrick Rangers, while Coleraine's 1-0 win against Ballymena United closes the gap at the top to just two points.

Carrick Rangers stunned league leaders Larne with a 3-2 victory at Inver Park, ending the visitors' unbeaten run. Danny Gibson, Joe Crowe, and Paul Heatley found the net for the away side before Tiarnan O'Connor and Dan Bent scored late consolation goals for Larne.

Meanwhile, Coleraine moved to within two points of the summit with a 1-0 win over Ballymena United, thanks to Will Patching's first-half strike. Larne still maintains a game in hand at the top of the Irish Premiership table.
