Leicester City appeal six-point Premier League deduction

Leicester City have formally appealed a six-point Premier League sanction for breaching financial rules.

The deduction, announced earlier this month, sees the Foxes drop to 20th in the Championship. The club described the sanction as disproportionate despite a reduced figure.

The Premier League has stated it will seek an urgent resolution before the season concludes. Both parties have submitted appeals to the judicial panel, which will appoint an appeal board to hear the case.
