Moore Granted Hearing to Challenge Arrest After Michigan Firing

Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has been granted an evidentiary hearing on March 2 to challenge the validity of his arrest following his December firing for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

The hearing will allow Moore’s lawyer to argue that the detective failed to disclose the alleged victim’s employment ties to the Michigan football program, which could undermine the probable‑cause basis for the arrest.

Moore was arrested on charges of third‑degree home invasion, stalking and breaking and entering after he allegedly threatened the victim with knives and scissors. He maintains his innocence and seeks to have the case dismissed.
