Brian Daboll was officially introduced as Tennessee's offensive coordinator on Feb. 18, and he made it clear that Cam Ward was a major factor in his decision to join the team. While Ward struggled as a rookie, ranking outside the top 30 in several quarterback metrics, Daboll sees his athletic ability and out-of-structure plays as assets rather than liabilities.
Daboll, who has experience developing quarterbacks like Josh Allen in Buffalo, is comfortable with Ward's mechanics and has studied his tape extensively. He's looking forward to beginning the installation process in April, saying 'April can't come soon enough' as Ward continues rehabbing his shoulder injury.
