St. Thomas Basketball Chasing 8th Title, Honors Fan

The University of St. Thomas men's basketball team, ranked No. 4 in Division III, continues its championship pursuit with strong defense while honoring longtime supporter Dr. Jack Follis.

The Celts, coached by four-time Coach of the Year Anthony Medina, have built a championship program with a defensive mindset. 'We're the best defense we're going to play against,' said guard Corey Thompson, as the team looks to win its eighth straight title with a 112-20 record over five seasons.

During their recent game against Texas Lutheran, the UST community celebrated Dr. Jack Follis, described as the university's biggest athletics fan. A plaque will be displayed at his regular game spot, with guard Angel Johnson noting, 'He's beloved here.' The university graduate and math professor attended every athletic event for years.
