Ronda Rousey has confirmed she contacted UFC President Dana White about arranging a fight with Gina Carano, but negotiations with the promotion fell through. The former UFC champion revealed she wanted to help Carano after seeing her looking unhealthy.
The setback led to Rousey's comeback fight against Carano at 145 pounds, which will air on Netflix. Despite exploring this fight as far back as 2014, the UFC ultimately couldn't make it happen, resulting in the bout being promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.
