Jets RB Trayanum Hospitalized After Neck Injury

Jets rookie running back Chip Trayanum was transported to the hospital with a neck injury suffered in Friday's preseason game against the Giants.

Trayanum was injured on the final play of the first half when Giants linebacker Trace Ford hit him hard as he received the ball from quarterback Cade Klubnik. Medical personnel worked on Trayanum for several minutes before he was strapped into a cart, reportedly wearing a neck brace. sport-ipl.my

Despite the injury, the Jets report that Trayanum is awake, alert and has movement in his extremities. Before the injury, he had 12 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, plus 2 receptions for 25 yards in the first half. The Jets also ruled out sixth-round rookie guard Anez Cooper with a shoulder injury.
