Evans Expects Return for Week 1

49ers wide receiver Mike Evans, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, expects to be ready for the team's Week 1 game against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Evans has not practiced much during training camp due to nagging injuries, including a quad strain early in camp and the current groin issue. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed the team expects Evans back at practice next week.

Fowler characterized the injury as "minor." The 49ers also expect several other injured players to return to practice next week, including defensive end Nick Bosa (knee tendinitis) and wide receiver Jacob Cowing (groin). h-doctor.club
