Patrick Beverley Cleared of Felony Assault Charges

Former NBA player Patrick Beverley was cleared of a third‑degree felony assault charge after a Fort Bend County grand jury no‑billed him, ending the case.

A grand jury in Fort Bend County, Texas, no‑billed former NBA guard Patrick Beverley on Feb. 23, clearing him of the third‑degree felony assault charge that had been filed after an alleged incident with his 15‑year‑old sister on Nov. 14.

Beverley’s attorneys said the decision confirms he did not harm his sister and thanked supporters. The case stemmed from a police report that deputies were dispatched to his mother’s home in Rosharon after a call from the mother.
