The Blue Jays placed catcher Alejandro Kirk on the 10‑day injured list after a dislocated and fractured left thumb sustained in the 10th inning of a 5‑4 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The team recalled Brandon Valenzuela from Triple‑A Buffalo to fill the vacancy. Additionally, the club assigned veteran left‑hander Patrick Corbin to Single‑A Dunedin following his one‑year contract signing.
