Fellow opening batswoman Shafali Verma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur are unbeaten at the crease.

Thailand's Suleeporn Laomi has claimed one wicket each. Phannita Maya, stand-in skipper Thipatcha Putthawong, Sunida Chaturongrattana, and Onnicha Kamchomphu are yet to claim any wickets.

Earlier, Thailand's stand-in skipper Putthawong has won the toss and elected to bowl first. Regular skipper Naruemol Chaiwai will not be available for the match against the "Women in Blue".

After winning the toss, Thailand's stand-in skipper Putthawong said, "We are going to bowl first. Yes, Nannapat Koncharoenkai is injured. [How much are you planning to restrict India for?] Nothing more than 170. [On playing India] Yes, we are excited".

On the other hand, Pratika Rawal is made her T20I debut for Team India. Initially, she was not a part of India's squad for the continental event, but a hamstring injury to Jemimah Rodrigues earned Rawal a call-up.

India has been the most dominant team in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup over the last decade — winning the title thrice in five editions of the T20 format since 2016-17 — but their performances bring forth more concerns than assurances at the moment.

Team India has lost nine of 16 T20Is this year, and their most recent loss — against Australia in the Women’s T20 World Cup — knocked the "Women in Blue" out of the competition at the group stage itself. Thailand, meanwhile, will look to draw confidence from the victory over Hong Kong in the opening match, for which the side had to work hard.

Delhi Premier League 2026: South Delhi Superstarz claim DPL title with comprehensive victory over Central Delhi Kings

South Delhi Superstarz won the Delhi Premier League T20 2026 title after beating Central Delhi Kings by seven wickets in the final.

Chasing 183, South Delhi reached 186/3 in 18.2 overs to finish the tournament on a high. They had 10 balls to spare as their batters stayed in control for most of the chase.

Ankit was one of the main reasons behind the successful chase. He remained unbeaten on 62 off 34 balls and kept the scoreboard moving with a quick knock. Anmol also finished unbeaten on 62, taking 41 balls to reach his half-century.

The two batters handled the pressure of a final well and made sure South Delhi did not lose momentum in the second half of the innings. Their partnership took the game away from Central Delhi and left the bowling side with little chance of making a comeback.

Central Delhi Kings had earlier put up 182/8 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Samarth gave them a strong start with 51 off 27 balls. His quick innings helped Central Delhi set up a competitive total.

Jonty also made an important contribution, scoring 36 from 19 balls, while Yugal added 32 off 29 deliveries. Money then provided some late runs, hitting 18 from just seven balls to push Central Delhi closer to the 180-run mark.

South Delhi’s bowlers had done a decent job of restricting Central Delhi to 182. Divansh was their most successful bowler, finishing with figures of 3/17. Vision also played an important role with the ball, taking 2/17.

Pranshu and Anshuman picked up one wicket each, while the rest of the attack worked to keep Central Delhi from posting an even bigger total.

However, the target never looked too difficult once South Delhi’s chase got going. Ankit and Anmol took control of the innings and kept finding runs without taking unnecessary risks.

Both batters completed their half-centuries and stayed at the crease until the end. Their unbeaten knocks meant South Delhi lost only three wickets while chasing down the target.

The final result summed up South Delhi Superstarz’s performance on the day. Central Delhi had enough runs on the board to put pressure on the chasing team but South Delhi’s batting was simply too strong.

South Delhi Superstarz eventually secured a seven-wicket victory and lifted the DPL 2026 trophy. Ankit and Anmol’s unbeaten half-centuries were the key difference as South Delhi finished the final with a comfortable win and the championship title.

WATCH: Novak Djokovic CRIES on court during his shock 1st round loss in US Open 2026 to Mariano Navone

In a dramatic turn of events, 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic shockingly bowed out of the very first round of the US Open 2026 after a tough battle against Argentina’s Mariano Navone, who surprised the entire crowd at the Arthur Ashe Stadium with a 7-6 (5), 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, five-set victory.

The match lasted for about four hours and 36 minutes and it well and truly tested Novak Djokovic, who looked far from his best today. He battled through physical pain but what was more sad to see was the way he operated against a younger opponent, who forced errors after errors against the Serbian.

As a matter of fact, it was the first time that people actually witnessed Novak Djokovic breaking down on the court midway through the game despite the crowd cheering his name even after a poor showing. The Serbian looked absolutely clueless in the four+ hour showdown which crashed his hopes of landing a fifth US Open title and first since 2023. Djokovic’s previous three titles came in 2011, 2015 and 2018.

The battle between the Serbian legend and the Argentina youngster ended up being the longest opening match of the tournament with Djokovic suffering a first round exit from the US Open for the very first time in his career.

It was tough to see Djokovic making 70 unforced errors as his time on the court was marred with sickness and cramps. He took an early lead of 3-0 and 4-1 but went on to blow it all and lose the first set.

The 39-year-old has had a tough few months. At the start of the year Djokovic lost the Australian Open final to Carlos Alcaraz before going down against Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon semi-final. Then, during the hardcourt tune-up at the Cincinnati Open, Djokovic exited from the first round itself.

Following the loss to his Argentinian opponent, Djokovic looked absolutely gutted with his wife, Jelena, watching over him from the stands with a worrying face. The defeat was indeed a tough pill to swallow for the Serbian and his fans but credits must be given to Mariano Navone, who once idolized the world number five.

Navone was over the moon after his maiden victory over the veteran. He expressed that it was a huge moment for him to be able to defeat the “GOAT” and admitted that it was nothing less than a dream come true.

“It was very tough for me because you are playing with the ‘GOAT’ on this court. For sure it’s the best thing I’ve had on court. This is an amazing court and the biggest stage. It’s amazing, the way we play. I mean, five sets. I’m very happy. I don’t know. What can I say?. It’s unbelievable. This means a lot. It’s a dream come true,” Mariano Navone said after his victory.
