Cincinnati Bearcats' next coach might be just down the road | Letter
University of Cincinnati men's basketball coach Wes Miller's days in Clifton are numbered. Another season where UC misses the NCAA tournament (unless they win their conference tournament championship, which is unlikely). Bearcats fans are looking ahead to their next coach.
UC should take a serious look at Travis Steele, the men's head basketball coach at Miami-OH. Sure, he failed at Xavier. But doesn't America believe in a redemption story? The Miami RedHawks are the hottest men's basketball team in the country.
Steele's roster at Miami has a good mix of local talent and solid players. Steele would be a good fit for UC if the ability to land a big-time, national-championship coach were not an option. Steele would bring his roster and the ability to recruit players locally, regionally, and internationally.
What does UC have to lose?
Tracy Gragston, Hartwell

2026 NFL draft: Bills go for Round 1 receiver in CBS Sports mock
The Buffalo Bills add a new playmaker for quarterback Josh Allen in a recent 2026 NFL draft mock released by CBS Sports.
There is plenty of offseason to unfold before the draft, but as Buffalo's roster stands, a wide receiver would be a welcomed addition. However, he's not the type of wideout everyone would want for the Bills.
In the projection, Buffalo selects Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 26 overall in Round 1.
A big, receiver is what the Bills could add in many fans eyes. Buffalo would get more of a six-foot, versatile player in Cooper and CBS Sports compared him to former Buffalo receiver Stefon Diggs.
Even if not a big-bodied player, Cooper did average 21.2 yards per catch in 2024 so he has virtual threat in his game. His best and National Championship winning season in 2025 saw Cooper make 69 catches for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns.
CBS Sports' breakdown on Cooper to the Bills can be found below:
Thinking back to the best versions of Buffalo, yes, they had a downfield threat like Stefon Diggs, but they also had a slot merchant like Cole Beasley. Omar Cooper Jr. is not afraid of contact and is also capable of creating yards after the catch.
