Doha: President of the Qatar Olympic Committee HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani received on Monday morning at his office H E Shri Vipul, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of India and discussed ways to enhance sports cooperation between the two countries. ¶ أعتقد أن فرص المنتخب القطري قائمة، سواء بالتأهل المباشر أو حتى كأفضل منتخب يحتل المركز الثالث، لكن ذلك مرتبط بما سيقدمه اللاعبون داخل الملعب. لدينا بعض المشكلات الدفاعية والهجومية، كما أن الانسجام في الخط الأمامي ليس بالمستوى المطلوب حتى الآن.
العنابي مطالب بالظهور بشخصية مختلفة تماماً عن تلك التي قدمها في المباريات الودية الأخيرة، وأن يستعيد شخصية بطل آسيا التي عرفناه بها في السنوات الماضية. التعادل والخسارة في المباريات التحضيرية يدقان ناقوس الخطر قبل انطلاق المونديال، لكن إذا عاد اللاعبون إلى مستواهم الحقيقي وقدّموا أفضل ما لديهم، فمن الممكن أن يحقق المنتخب نتائج إيجابية.
كما أن المنتخب لم يحقق أي فوز منذ الانتصار على الإمارات في المواجهة التي أهلته للمونديال وهو أمر يستوجب الوقوف عنده والعمل على تصحيحه قبل انطلاق البطولة.

¶ هناك عدة منتخبات مرشحة بقوة للمنافسة على اللقب، وفي مقدمتها إسبانيا وألمانيا وفرنسا والأرجنتين. جميع هذه المنتخبات تمتلك عناصر مميزة وخبرة كبيرة في البطولات العالمية، ولذلك أتوقع أن يكون اللقب محصوراً بينها بنسبة كبيرة.

◆ كيف ترى حظوظ المنتخبات العربية؟
¶ أتوقع مشاركة عربية قوية ومميزة في هذه النسخة من كأس العالم. أرى أن المغرب والجزائر ومصر تملك فرصاً جيدة للتأهل إلى الأدوار التالية، كما أن المنتخب السعودي لديه فرصة للتأهل أيضاً وربما كأفضل منتخب يحتل المركز الثالث.
في المقابل تبدو مهمة منتخبات الأردن وتونس والعراق أكثر صعوبة نظراً لقوة المنافسة في مجموعاتها، لكن كرة القدم لا تعترف بالحسابات المسبقة، وكل شيء يظل وارداً داخل المستطيل الأخضر.

◆ وماذا عن مواجهة الافتتاح أمام سويسرا؟
¶ على الورق يبدو المنتخب السويسري أفضل من المنتخب القطري، لكن مباريات كأس العالم لها ظروفها الخاصة، ولا يمكن الاعتماد على الترشيحات المسبقة فقط. كل شيء سيتحدد وفق أداء اللاعبين داخل أرضية الملعب ومدى قدرتهم على تنفيذ المطلوب منهم خلال المباراة.

◆ ما أهمية دور الجمهور القطري؟
¶ الجمهور القطري يمثل عاملاً مهماً جداً في دعم المنتخب. وجود الجماهير خلف اللاعبين في المدرجات ورفع الأعلام القطرية يمنح اللاعبين دفعة معنوية كبيرة. ونحن على ثقة بأن جماهير العنابي ستواصل رسم صورة مشرقة ومميزة كما اعتادت دائماً في المحافل الدولية.

◆ كيف تقارن بين مونديال 2022 والنسخة المقبلة؟
¶ مونديال قطر 2022 كان حدثاً استثنائياً بكل المقاييس، ومن الصعب أن تتكرر الظروف والتنظيم والأجواء التي شاهدها العالم في تلك النسخة.
