Arizona Cardinals WR Michel Wilson 2026 offseason profile

The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.

The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.

Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.

Next up is wide receiver Michael Wilson.

Michael Wilson 2025 season

Wilson broke out in 2025 after two okay NFL seasons. Stepping up when Marvin Harrison Jr. was out with appendicitis and then a heel injury, he set career-highs with 78 receptions, 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. He scored touchdowns in the final five games and proved he can be a volume receiver in a No. 1 role.

Michael Wilson contract status

Wilson enters the final year of his four-year rookie contract. In 2026, he gets a bump in salary thanks to a proven performance salary escalator. His salary will be almost $3.9 million in 2026, and his contract will count almost $4.1 million against the salary cap.

He is now eligible for a contract extension. We will see if the Cardinals will try to extend his current deal.

Michael Wilson offseason outlook

Wilson established himself as a real receiving threat. If he stays healthy, he and Harrison should give the Cardinals a powerful receiver duo, combined with tight end Trey McBride.

He might even be able to supplant Harrison as the team's No. 1 'X' receiver. That is something we will see as the season gets closer and they begin to compete in training camp.
