College basketball roundup: Stanford women end skid; Cal women fall to Miami

Nunu Agara had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Courtney Ogden added 21 points as Stanford beat Florida State 77-61 on Sunday to end a four-game losing streak and clinch a berth in the ACC tournament.

Stanford (17-12, 6-10 ACC) led by nine after the first quarter and extended its lead to 41-22 at halftime. Florida State (9-19, 4-12) got within eight points of the Cardinal in the fourth quarter before Stanford pulled away over the last 4 ½ minutes.

Lara Samfai added 15 points and Chloe Clardy scored 12 for Stanford. Sole Williams scored 17 points to lead Florida State.

Miami 69, Cal 60: Lulu Twidale had 18 points and Mjracle Sheppard scored 10, but the Bears (17-12, 8-8 ACC)  were unable to overcome 33% shooting in their loss to the host Hurricanes (15-12, 7-9).

Twidale made four 3-pointers to give her 213 for her career as she moved past Alexis Gray Lawson (221) into second on Cal's career list behind Asha Thomas (233).  

Cal, which had won four of its previous five games, led by one after the first quarter but was down 35-27 at halftime. Though the Bears opened the third quarter with a 6-0 run, they trailed the entire second half.

Ra Shaya Kyle scored 16 points to lead four Miami players in double figures.
