The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to run off a third consecutive win when they host the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.
It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the two longtime rivals. The Celtics won the first matchup back in early December.
LeBron James will play vs. Celtics on Sunday night
Lakers star forward LeBron James didn’t play in that first meeting, but it will be a different story this time around.
James isn’t listed on the official injury report for the game against Boston, so he’ll be out on the floor for the Lakers. It will be James' 62nd career regular season game against the Celtics.
On the season, James has played in 37 games for L.A. and averaged 21.7 points, 7.2 assists 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance. He played in his record-setting 21st All-Star game last weekend.
The Lakers (34-21) enter the matchup with Boston sitting fifth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile the Celtics (36-19) are second in the East, behind only the Detroit Pistons. With playoff positioning on the line, both teams should have plenty to play for.
