The penultimate week of high school wrestling has completed. The boys wrestlers from around the state competed in the regional championship on Saturday, Feb. 21. State qualification was on the line, and many Shawnee County wrestlers were able to advance.
For Class 6A and 5A, the top eight wrestlers in each weight class qualified for the state championship. The top four places each weight class advance to the state championship for Class 4A and 3-1A.
The state wrestling championships will be held on Feb. 27-28.
