The next Jurgen Klopp is destined to replace Arne Slot at Liverpool

Slot will not be the long-term manager at Anfield. Many people yearn for the return of Jurgen Klopp but again this is something that is unlikely to happen.

Instead, what may be far likelier is Liverpool moving towards a promising young manager who is being regarded as the next Klopp in Germany.

Meet Sebastian Hoeness. He's a former Hertha and Hoffenheim player who had to retire at an early age due to injuries. Since then he has been working as a coach getting his first big break as the manager of Bayern Munich's II team.

Hoeness then became the manager of Hoffenheim where he led the team to two mid-table finishes before parting ways.

His biggest role so far has been at Stuttgart, where he has transformed the club. When he arrived at the German side in April 2023, they were in the relegation zone.

Hoeness rescued them from the drop and over the course of the next few seasons he had turned Stuttgart into a challenger.

Last season, he led the side to a Europa League spot, where they recently battered Celtic away from home 4-1 in the knock-out round.

This season Hoeness' side have a genuine chance of qualifying for the Champions League, currently sitting in fourth place in the Bundesliga.

They will also be one of the favourites in the Europa League, giving Honess the chance to do something remarkable with a side he literally lifted up from the very bottom of the league.

Only 43-years-old, his achievement at Stuttgart is akin to what Jurgen Klopp did with Borussia Dortmund and Mainz.

Hoeness is still young and he's playing really attractive eye-catching football.

In many ways, he seems like the perfect fit for Liverpool. And just like Klopp, it feels as though he may be destined to manage at Anfield.
