Cowboys to release former Bengals LB Logan Wilson | Reports

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to release former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson, according to multiple reports, including one from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

CBS' Jim Nantz and Tony Romo shared praise of Wilson during the Cowboys' Thanksgiving game against the Kansas City Chiefs, as Wilson was playing in his third game for Dallas after the Bengals traded him there Nov. 4.

"That was kind of a quiet trade a couple weeks ago getting him from Cincinnati," Nantz said during the broadcast. "As (Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt) Eberflus told us, 'He is the hammer.' ... He's gonna be a big part of this Cowboy defense for a while."

Wilson asked the Bengals for a trade last October. He was benched before the Bengals' Week 6 game against Green Bay.
