In the PSG era of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique, the capital club has moved away from pursuing veteran players. Over the last few transfer windows, the Ligue 1 side has pursued young players who are approaching the prime years of their careers.
Nonetheless, if a veteran is available and fits Luis Enrique’s system, they can make an exception. However, last season showed that the Parisians can win a treble without much veteran presence.
Still, every season is different, and this season there have been dips in the campaign that maybe a veteran presence could help with a young team with not many players over 30.

CaughtOffside reports that Manchester United are preparing to make changes in midfield this summer, which could mean cashing in on transfer interest in Bruno Fernandes, who is under contract until 2027.
Moreover, the outlet notes that there is serious interest in the 31-year-old from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, as well as from Bayern Munich and PSG.

“A lot of people inside Manchester United will describe Bruno Fernandes as ‘indispensable’, and there’s an element of truth to that,” one source told CaughtOffside. “However, they’re also realistic about his age, his high earnings, and the fact that his current contract expires in 2027.”
Still, CaughtOffside notes that no offers have been made so far, and some clubs might feel the circumstances don’t justify chasing Fernandes right now.
“In an ideal world United would keep him, but the reality is that this is their last chance to make big money from selling him, and they have plans of their own in terms of new signings to reshape their midfield,” another source said.
