The fines keep on coming. The German football association, DFB, has fined Bayern Munich a total of nearly €70K this season for two unsanctioned pyrotechnics displays in Bundesliga games during the Hinrunde.

As captured by @iMiaSanMia:

Bayern have been fined a total of €68,750 by the DFB due to offenses committed by their fans in two cases

€50,000 fine for the use of at least 50 pyrotechnic devices against Borussia Mönchengladbach on October 25

€18,750 fine for the use of at least 15 pyrotechnic devices in the game against Heidenheim on December 21

These are separate and in addition to penalties imposed by UEFA for the same infractions during Champions League matches, which included a €500K fine and subsequent shutdown of the Bayern ultras’ section, the Südkurve for a league phase match against Union Saint-Gilloise. Bayern also received UEFA fines for separate disturbances totaling 70k.

Will the sanctions work?

“We had already made an urgent appeal to our supporters in December [of 2023] and asked them to refrain from any further pyro activities,” Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen had said in February of 2024 — back when the Südkurve shutdown decision was first announced.

It does not seem like the pyro shows are any closer to going away for good.
