TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Jayhawks dominate the Cowboys in Stillwater.
After breaking an eight-game win streak last Saturday to Iowa State, the No. 8 Kansas Jayhawks (20-6, 10-3 Big 12) defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys (16-10, 4-9 Big 12) 81-69 to notch their 20th win of the season.
The Jayhawks stayed consistent throughout the game, shooting 44.4% from the field in the first half and 48% from the field in the second. In the first, Kansas had a 14-point lead heading into the half at 43-29.
Out of the half, the Cowboys started off hot in the first three minutes with Parsa Fallah putting up seven points early, Darryn Peterson hit a three to lessen the blow, which would be his only points in the second half.
Peterson was the team’s top scorer, putting up 23 points in 19 minutes, and was lethal from beyond the arc, going 6-of-10 from three.
Tre White followed with 16 of his own, while Bryson Tiller had a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, along with seven assists, and Elmarko Jackson added 14 points of his own for Kansas.
The Jayhawks are back in Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 21 to host the Cincinnati Bearcats. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m.
